VERDENS LÆNGSTE ELBIL-PARADE VED SILKEBORGMOTORVEJENS ÅBNING

Vejdirektoratet har stillet en del af Silkeborgmotorvejen til rådighed for et spektakulært rekordforsøg ved åbningen af silkeborgmotorvejen søndag d. 11. september. Her vil deltagerne blive vidner til det, der skal blive verdens længste parade af elbiler.  

Forenede Danske Elbilister FDEL* gennemfører i samarbejde med CO2 Green Drive samt projektpartnerne Bent Vistisen, Jan Meier-Larsen og Jørn Grønkjær et Guinness World Record forsøg med verdens længste elbil-parade. Alle elbilerne placeres sidst i den store bilkortege, der efter snoreklippet bliver de første biler på den nye motorvej.

”Vores mål er omkring 300 elbiler fra Danmark, Norge, Sverige og Tyskland. Det bliver en helt unik oplevelse at opleve fremtidens bud på miljøvenlig kørsel med elbiler” siger formanden for FDEL, Martin Messer Thomsen.

Den hidtil største elbil-parade er på 241 biler og blev gennemført i Montreal i Canada den 18. april 2015. Den 21. september 2014 satte vi i Danmark Guinness rekord på Øresundsbroen med 160 elbiler i kortege over en bro.

”Motorvejsåbningen i Silkeborg er en enestående mulighed for at profilere elbiler og elbilernes udbredelse. Og det tilmed i et af de smukkeste områder i Danmark” siger Bent Vistisen fra styregruppen. Foruden kortegekørslen vil der blive udstillet elbiler fra bilfabrikker over hele verden. 

Der bliver præsenteret helt nye og spændende bilmodeller, og der er allerede tæt kontakt til forhandlere og importører. Ved FDEL´s stand bliver der dagen igennem arrangementer, der sætter fokus på bl.a. teknik, design, energi og afgifter.

Som ekstra profilering af elbilerne afsluttes rekordforsøget med en elbil-parade gennem Silkeborg i en rute, der former symbolet ”CO2”. Det sker som en del af det globale klima- og teknologiprojekt 

CO2 Green Drive, som er startet af kunstneren Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen. 

Projektet blev første gang opført under COP15 i København. Paraden slutter med en ”Cat Walk”, hvor elbilerne vises frem som modeller på en scene. Alt sammen for at give de mange gæster, turister og elbilentusiaster en involverende og fælles oplevelse.

Elbilerne er højaktuelle på den politiske dagsorden, og Klimarådet har netop offentliggjort sin rapport Afgifter der forandrer med to klare anbefalinger til regeringen om snarest at sænke afgiften på elbiler og afgiften på el.

”I Danmark ønsker vi at fastholde vores førerposition som det mest innovative og grønne land i verden, og verdens længste parade af elbiler vil være et godt signal at sende i forbindelse med indvielsen af den nye motorvej,” understreger Jørn Grønkjær fra styregruppen.

Forberedelsen af Guinness World Record forsøget og det store praktiske arrangement foregår i samarbejde med bilimportører og -forhandlere samt en række andre virksomheder og sponsorer.

COP21 IN PARIS AND 5TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF COP15 IN COPENHAGEN

Grøn kunstmanifestation på den Franske Ambassade - COP21 i Paris 2015

Som optakt til klimatopmødet COP21, der finder sted i Paris om et år, og som markering af 5-året for COP15 i København, holdes en grøn kunstmanifestation på Kongens Nytorv. Arrangmentet lanceres ved en reception på den Franske Ambassade fredag d. 12. december kl. 16.00 – 17.30

Den unge danske kunstner Svend Sømod har skabt en lysanimation, som vil blive projiceret fra den Franske Ambassade over på et 3D maleri, der hænger på Metroselskabets hegn på Kongens Nytorv.
Maleriet måler 4 x 4 meter og er malet med farve indeholdende nanoteknologi, der for hver kvadratmeter nedbryder lige så meget NOx som et voksent træ. 

Maleriet er en 3D- illustration over København med en rute igennem gaderne formet som ”CO2” og installeret med LED lys, der får energi fra solceller monteret øverst på hegnet.

Den Franske Ambassade på Kongens Nytorv ligger ved et af byens mest trafikerede lyskryds med en konstant trafik af biler om dagen og mennesker, der skal ud og feste om natten. Kombinationen af et NOx nedbrydende maleri, LED-lys formet som ”CO2” og en hypnotisk videoanimation, der giver puls og bevægelse i decembermørket, vil kunsten helt konkret påvirke byrummet og dets brugere.

Manifestationen er ét ud af en række projekter lavet af CO2 Green Drive i efteråret 2014, hvor der blandt andet også blev sat en Guinness World Record for Flest Elbiler i en Parade over Øresundsbroen.

CO2 Green Drive er et Kunst, Klima og Teknologi projekt der i 2008 blev initieret af Det Danske Kultur Institut. Solcellepanelet er støttet af den danske solcelleproducent Gaia Solar, LED- lyset er sponsoreret af Osram, malingen af Boysen Paints og produktionen af 3D-maleriet af Københavns Kommune - Sharing Copenhagen.

Begivenheden er en oplagt anledning for ambassaden til at gøre opmærksom på vigtigheden af næste års klimatopmøde i Paris. I 2009 var der stort håb om at klimatopmødet i København ville munde ud i afgørende beslutninger. Denne grønne kunstmanifestation vil være med til at skabe nyt håb for, at der i 2015 bliver taget nogle historiske beslutninger i Paris, for at fremme jordens klima.

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING - A NEW RACE FOR THE FUTURE IS ABOUT TO START

Formula E is a new FIA single-seater championship and the world's first fully-electric racing series. Commencing in September 2014 through to June 2015, the Championship will compete in the heart of 10 of the world's leading cities - including London, Beijing and Los Angeles - racing around their iconic landmarks. For the inaugural season, 10 teams, each with two drivers, will go head-to-head creating a unique and exciting racing series designed to appeal to a new generation of motorsport fans.



One of the most important elements of the FIA Formula E Championship, and the aspect that makes it so unique compared to other motorsport series, is its commitment to tackling environmental issues.

Leilani Münter is a biology graduate who eventually became the unusual combination of a race car driver and environmental activist. Since 2006, Leilani has been using her unique voice in the racing world to fight for environmental issues. With years of dedication to environmental issues, she has become a recognized leader in the environmental community. Discovery's Planet Green named her the #1 eco athlete in the world, Glamour Magazine called her "An Eco Hero," ELLE Magazine awarded her their Genius Award, and Sports Illustrated named her one of the top ten female race car drivers in the world.

CAR MANILA IN COLLABORATION WITH CLEAN AIR ASIA

The water that had overflowed many towns outside Manila was still present many weeks after Yolanda had made her devestating visit. However, Metro Manila was spared and the CAR Manila event was produced as planned.

BUCKY DOME OF VISIONS - THE FUTURE IS ONCE AGAIN NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE IN COPENHAGEN

On April 5th 2013, The CO2 Green Drive Project will host the event "The Future is Not What it Used to Be" in Copenhagen's Dome of Visions. It is placed on Krøyers Plads in the Christianshavn area,  just across from the noted restaurant NOMA and on the actual spot where the legendary Copenhagen Beach Club Luftkastellet was placed.

The CO2 Green Drive Project sprung out of The Triangle Project in 2008, but the artists as part of The Triangle Project have been part of the CO2 E Race/CO2 Green Drive Project all along.
One of the main collaborators have been Romeo Vidner at the Copenhagen based Design Agency re-public, as he also created the Template Portfolio of fonts, design, logos, colors and state of mind the graphic profile for CO2 E - Race/CO2 Green Drive should have. The portfolio was recently featured in the book "Green Graphics" published by INDEX BOOK.




The other Triangle artists involved, have been the large group of Sound Artists, who performed in connection to the Istanbul Art Biennial in 2007. They will also be the building foundation of SA_EVA (Sound Art for Electric Vehicles Association) and on April 5th 2013, Occupy Sound for Electric Vehicles in general, forever after. If not, the area will be completely taken over by the Car Industry. This is a whole new arena for the Art of Sound, and should be dedicated to creating a new outlet for Sound Art. Sound that both has a practical use in traffic, but also plays inside the Electric Vehicle. Free Artistic expression relating to the Intentional Art Concept Framework of CO2 Green Drive, will be part of the final exhibition of the project, where the Sound aspect will have a big part.

I Am Yasuni is a global campaign to spread social awareness of Ecuador’s Yasuni-ITT Initiative in order to indefinitely preserve approximately 180,000 hectares of virgin rainforest that is comprised within the unexploited Ishpingo, Tambococha, and Tiputini (ITT) oil fields, in Yasuní National Park. In order to achieve this it aims to secure donations for the UN-administered Yasuni ITT Fund.

On April 5th 2013, the Danish organization "Jeg er Yasuni" will present thier project in collaboration with the CO2 Green Drive at Dome of Visions.

The above Dome where the event will take place, is 10,5 meters in height and has a diameter of 21 meters. The shape of the Dome is inspired by American futurist and architect Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller who, among other things, studied minimalistic constructions and patented the geodesic dome. The Dome itself acts as a façade and a shield from the elements which enables whatever construction that goes inside to use a minimal amount of materials. 

Looking North East when inside of the Dome, on the left you can see the recently buildt Theater and on the right, The Opera given to The Danish Queen by Mr. Burns. Out of the photo to the right is NOMA.

When giving talks about CO2 Green Drive, Nicola Tesla is always used a great inpiration to the project and is featured in the presentations. Not just the Tesla. In connection to the presentation on April 5th, we shall celebrate Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller, but also Nicola Tesla, of course.

Bucky had a great plan to cover New York City with a huge Dome, as seen above. Soon in connection to Earth Day New York's annual CO2 E Drive, New York will once again be tagged with a Huge "E" by Electric Cars on the CO2 Green Drive Smart Phone Application.

THE BURNING MAN ADVENTURE 2012

After months of preparation and following an long ticket process CO2 Green Drive was performed at the Burning Man Festival in Nevada 30 August 2012 under the moniker "Electric Parade".

This time around the project was intended to try out the concept in the harsh desert conditions and saw the inclusion of some 30 pedestrians and bikes - and one stuffed and very popular badger!

Thus, amidst the thousand of events that takes place during the week long festival project organizers Michael Wolffhechel and Martin Ersted together with IT-wizard Henrik Gilvad alongside Tad Snyder and Bianca Berger from SolarBeatz summoned at the Man Thursday 30 August at 16:30h to "tag" Burning Man with a huge CO2 painting.

Following an opening speech by project organizer Michael Wolffhechel and greeting of the Electric Parade participants the biodiesel and solar powered party truck from SolarBeatz began its journey around the center point of the festival to create the O.

All to the tune of Melody Club's "I'm Electric"

Having completed the O project manager Michael Wolffhechel addressed the crowd once more to salute them and to express the hope that some of the Burning Man magic may rub off into the world outside Burning Man". And that this rubbing off will also embrace the festivals principles of Leave No Trace and a sustainable approach to our daily life.

Following the speech the convoy embarked on a larger C route again centered around the Man where the convoy passed the 36 core effigies created by Burning Man chapters around the world. Following this C tour the convoy embarked on a 2-shaped tour on the open playa taking the convoy by the monumental Burn Wall Street art piece that was to be burned later Thursday night (due to heavy winds it was postponed til Saturday after the burn of the Man). 

The painting of the 2 ended by the beautiful Temple designed by David Best where a happy project group could witness the completion of the CO2 painting on Henrik Gilvader's tablet that had tracked the entire journey live. 

The 2012 events proved the viability of the concept for Burning Man and the project group is already preparing a 2013 follow up.

CLEAN AIR DRIVE - HONG KONG

Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities Center (CAI-Asia) and Clean Air Network (CAN) in Hong Kong’s plans to produce the CO2 Green Drive project in connection with the Better Air Quality 2012 (BAQ) Conference held in Hong Kong on 5-7 December 2012.

So, instead of making a "CO2" tag, an "AIR" tag has been produced.

The conference is co-organized by the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia), Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (above image), in partnership with the Asian Development Bank and World Bank.

BAQ 2012 (www.baq2012.org) is the leading event on air quality in Asia, covering transport, energy, industry and climate change, with a particular emphasis on government policies and measures.

Policy makers and practitioners meet at BAQ to network, learn and share experiences. Past BAQs have proven to influence policies, initiate new projects and establish partnerships. Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen will also hold a presentation about CO2 Green Drive at  the Danish Exhibition Area’s “Speakers Corner” on December 6th at 15.50, in connection to the Hong Kong Business of Design Week (HKBoDW)

The above video is from the Vilnius version of the project in 2010. The video includes many of the aspects and possibilities of the project. One exception was the the Bikini Car Wash Concept, but does include the Drag Race Concept, in the end of the video. What is also missing in the video is that there was a conference and screening of "Who Killed the Electric Car" with a following Q and A.

COPENHAGEN RUNNING ART MAN

The Copenhagen Art Run is an interactive Art, Action and Spiritual Experience in the lovely surroundings of Ishøj Beach, right next to ARKEN Moderne Museum of Art. It's not about who runs fastests or gets into goal first, but rather a way to co-create, interact and enjoy Nature, Art and Each Other. It takes place on September 12th, 2012 and is produced by VIBE. The above image with the Pink Triangle is the START of the Art Run and is placed just below the Art Museum ARKEN - that by the way is designed by Søren Robert Lund, who at the time when he won the design competition was a student.

Like Noah, he created an Ark. An Ark for Art. The above image of the brilliant design, is taken by Ronald Tilleman if you have not noticed.

Seen in the BLUE line above is the route for the runners. Based on this line, a CO2 tag will be created with the help of the CO2 Green Drive Smartphone APP. An APP that was created by our VERY jatlagged programmer Henrik The Gilvader, right upon touchdown from Burning Man and CO2 tag number 24.

The above flyer is what will be at START for the runners so they can take their Smartphones, scan the QR Code and thereby download and activate the GPS Tagging APP. Once they go on the run, the CO2 tag is produced when they move into the area that is programmed to pick up their signal. You can see the 25th CO2 Tag HERE, while it is being made and forever after. The above was the first Sketch for the CO2 tag for Copenhagen Art Run, but was too big.

Maybe it can be done like this next year? There is also many other Art Projects around on the Run. One such project is by Jakob Bue and Kasper Lynge Jensen with their project "Color Compostions with Dynamite and Weather" and one is said to expect: Dynamit, Paint, Pyramids and Runners. Mr. Lynge Jensen is also the man behind Sejerø Festival and part of The Triangle Project.
